Course Description

On this course, you'll gain a thorough understanding of architecture and the domains an architect can work across. Some of the topics that you'll cover along the way include enterprise architecture subdomains and their interactions, architecture standards and frameworks, and business, data, applications, software, infrastructure, security and solution architecture.

You'll discover all you need to know when it comes to core architecture terms and concepts, including the role of the architect, the key artefacts used in each subdomain, stakeholders and their areas of architectural concern, and how gap analysis is used to move from a current state to a target one.

Target Audience

Business analysts, project managers, business change managers and anyone who requires a thorough introduction to business-related architectures. There are no prerequisites for this certificate, so it suits both those beginning a career in architecture and those looking to broaden their understanding of domains outside their own.

A natural next step after this certificate is Business Architecture, an Analytical module in the BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis.
