Course Description
The Oracle Database 19c Essential Administration course is designed for Database Administrators of small-sized databases who need to carry out basic system administration tasks on Oracle Database 19c.
The course is also suitable for support staff and personnel required to perform occasional administration or troubleshooting tasks. It is not intended for full-time Database Administrators. The focus is on using Enterprise Manager Express and SQL Developer to manage the database, with SQL*Plus also covered.
Exercises and examples provide practical hands-on experience.
Full-time Database Administrators should attend the Oracle Database 19c Administration course.
Versions supported: 12cR2, 18c, 19c.
Target Student
- Database Administrators of small-sized databases who need to install, monitor, and support an Oracle Database 12c.
- Support staff and personnel required to carry out occasional administration or troubleshooting tasks.
Pre-requisites
- Understanding of relational database concepts.
- Basic operating system knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL (can be gained from a prerequisite course).
- Course is run on Linux; basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux is recommended but not essential.
