Course Description
The APM Project Management Qualification course follows the syllabus provided by APM, which aligns with the APM Competence Framework. The course provides delegates with a detailed understanding of the underpinning tools, techniques, and principles that are fundamental to successful project delivery.

Target Student
This course is intended for project managers and aspiring project managers. It is recommended that delegates have two to three years of experience as project professionals or are actively undertaking a project management apprenticeship or degree.
Pre-requisites
Delegates should have experience working in a project environment and have a basic understanding of project management issues.
Pre-Course Reading
This is an intensive five-day course, and delegates are expected to undertake 16 to 18 hours of pre-course work to be fully prepared.
Delegates will be emailed pre-course reading prior to attending the course. Close attention to the pre-reading materials will enhance their success on the course.

Course Content
The course is intensive and therefore delegates are expected to undertake revision work in the evenings to prepare for the examination that will be taken at the end of the course. The additional work required during evenings will comprise consolidation reading and mock examination questions. The evening work is integral to the course and delegates should expect to spend two to three hours each evening on these activities.

The APM Project Management Qualification Examination
Extensive examination practice and feedback is included in the workshop. The APMP examination is normally scheduled for 13:00 on the final day of the course.
Key exam information:
- 2.5 hours duration
- The exam is in two parts with a break of up to 30 minutes in between
- Closed-book
- 40 questions worth a total of 90 marks
- 4 x question types
- Multiple response – 20 questions x 1 mark each
- Select from a list – 5 questions x 2 marks each
- Short response – 5 questions x 2 marks each
- Long response – 10 questions x 5 marks each
- The pass mark for the exam will vary between exam versions to take account of slight differences in question difficulty between different exam versions.
