Course Description

This 2-day DPS course will allow you to combine sophisticated text treatments with video, audio, animation, and other highly interactive elements to create content-centric apps that help you bring your brand and content to life.

No coding or custom development needed.

Target Student

This course is intended for the intermediate and advanced users of InDesign.

Pre-Requisites

Delegates should be accomplished InDesign users.  An Adobe ID is required. Delegates can bring along an iPad for
previewing their folio.

Performance Based Objectives

Delegates will learn all interactive features supported by Digital Publishing Suite allowing them to create an engaging interactive folio.
 

Course Content:

Document Design

Document design requirements for mobile device documents as well as tablet navigations options
that need to be considered when determining folio design.

Creating Documents

Creation of mobile device document taking into consideration device ˜chrome items such as scroll
bars and navigational overlays of the devices OS.

Interactivity

This lesson provides an overview of the functionality of interactive overlays in a mobile device
article such as:

Buttons and Hyperlinks
Slideshows
Image Sequences
Audio and Video
Panorama
Pan and Zoom
Scrollable Frames
Web Content Overlays

Creating Folios

Taking a look at the production phase of the DPS workflow.
Using the Folio Builder to create folios then edit, share and upload to the Folio Producer tools

Creating Articles and Layouts

Explaining the structure of a folio and options available for layout when creating articles.

Previewing Folios and Articles

Delegates will be able to preview their folio as it™s being built via the Adobe Content Viewer app
either on the desktop or via their connected iPad.
